Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information the PsyGames application (macOS, Windows, Android, and web — the “App”) collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We designed PsyGames to work with the minimum data necessary. We do not sell your data and do not use advertising or third-party tracking SDKs.

1. Data stored on your device

Your training progress, best scores, streaks, achievements, selected profile, language and theme are stored locally on your device (local storage). This stays on your device and is included when you create a manual backup file.

2. Data synced to our backend

To show your statistics and progress, the App may sync anonymous gameplay session records to our secure cloud backend (Supabase). A record contains only:

game type, scores, accuracy and timing of a session;
session and series identifiers (random IDs) used to group results;
a non-identifying profile label you choose in the App (e.g. “Guest”, “NZT-48”).

We do not collect your name, email, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, or device advertising identifiers. The profile label is not your real identity.

3. What we do NOT do

No advertising and no ad networks.
No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs (no Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Meta, etc.).
No selling, renting, or sharing of data with data brokers.
No precise location or background tracking.

4. How we use the data

Solely to operate the App: to display your progress and statistics, keep streaks, and improve the training experience. We do not build advertising profiles.

5. Children

PsyGames includes a profile intended for children aged 7–12. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Only the anonymous gameplay records described in Section 2 are processed. We encourage parents and guardians to supervise use. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

6. Storage and security

Data is stored in a managed cloud database (Supabase) protected by row-level security. Transfers occur over encrypted HTTPS connections.

7. Data retention

Anonymous session records are retained to maintain your statistics. You can request deletion at any time (Section 8). Local data is removed when you uninstall the App or clear its data.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law (including GDPR and CCPA), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of data associated with your profile. Because we store no direct identifiers, please include the relevant profile label and approximate dates so we can locate the records. Send requests to the contact below.

9. Third-party stores

When installed via Google Play or the Apple App Store, those platforms process installation and payment data under their own privacy policies. We do not receive your payment details.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date on this page.
