What it trains — and what the science says

Four cognitive domains, trained by validated tasks from cognitive science. Here is the honest version of what each one does — and the real-life payoff you can actually expect.

🧠 Memory
Working and short-term memory — the mental workbench that holds and manipulates information while you use it.
Payoff: follow a multi-step recipe or a verbal address without writing it down, keep the thread of a meeting, and read a dense paragraph without losing the earlier sentences.
🎯 Attention
Focus, sustained vigilance and the ability to ignore what doesn't matter.
Payoff: read for 30 minutes without your mind drifting, catch your own typos before you hit send, and stay on one task in a noisy open office.
🧩 Logic
Reasoning, planning ahead and switching strategy when the situation changes.
Payoff: think two or three steps ahead in a negotiation, break a tangled problem into an order of operations, and change tactics fast when plan A stops working.
⚡ Speed
Processing speed and reaction — how quickly you take in information and act on it.
Payoff: react sooner at the wheel or on the road, do mental arithmetic at the till without freezing, and answer in conversation without the awkward lag.

Honest about the science

Proven: regular practice produces clear, measurable improvement on the trained skills, and several paradigms (e.g. speed-of-processing, working memory) show transfer to related real tasks.

Not proven: broad claims like "you will get smarter" or "+IQ points". We do not make them — that kind of marketing got Lumosity fined by the US FTC.

Our approach: validated tasks (Stroop, N-back, CPT, SDMT, Tower of London…), no inflated promises, and your own progress tracked over time.
